As a young girl my father was stationed in Madrid where we lived for 4 years before returning to the US.
Growing up we recounted stories about traveling in Europe, learning a new language, and the wonder that it inspired.
I went onto to get a degree in communications at the University of Georgia.
As my graduation gift, my parents gave me a roundtrip ticket to Europe. I left with just a small backpack and a Let’s Go Guide in hand.
Each day was an adventure. I was surrounded by the unknown; new cultures and people to meet, historical sites to discover, transformational great works of art, and exotic flavors.
